Google Pay & Apple Pay
Enable digital wallet payments with Google Pay and Apple Pay on your WooCommerce store.
Offer your customers a faster checkout experience with Google Pay and Apple Pay. Both integrate seamlessly with your Square payment gateway.
Prerequisites
Before enabling digital wallets:
- SquareSync for Woo installed and activated
- Square account connected (Connect to Square guide)
- Square payment gateway enabled (Set Up Payments guide)
Google Pay
- Go to SquareSync for Woo > Settings > Payments
- Check the Enable Google Pay checkbox
- Click Save Changes
Google Pay is now available at checkout for customers using:
- Chrome browser on Android devices
- Chrome browser on desktop (with linked cards)
- Google Pay app
Apple Pay
- Go to SquareSync for Woo > Settings > Payments
- Check the Enable Apple Pay checkbox
- Click Save Changes
Domain verification is handled automatically by SquareSync.
If Apple Pay isn't appearing at checkout after enabling, please contact support for assistance.
Customer Experience
Google Pay
At checkout, customers see a Google Pay button. Clicking it:
- Opens the Google Pay overlay
- Shows saved cards
- Authenticates with biometrics or password
- Completes payment
Apple Pay
On Safari, customers see an Apple Pay button:
- Apple Pay sheet appears
- Customer selects card and shipping
- Authenticates with Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode
- Payment completes
Requirements

Both require HTTPS on your site.
Troubleshooting
Google Pay button not showing
- Ensure the customer's browser supports Google Pay
- Verify HTTPS is enabled on your site
- Check that Google Pay is enabled in plugin settings
Apple Pay button not showing
- Confirm customer is using Safari browser
- Verify HTTPS is enabled on your site
- Ensure Apple Pay is enabled in plugin settings
- Contact support if issues persist
