Export Products to Square

Send your WooCommerce products to Square for POS and omnichannel selling.

Export your WooCommerce products to Square to sell in-store at your POS or manage inventory across both platforms.

Overview

Exporting products to Square allows you to:

  • Sell WooCommerce products at Square POS
  • Manage inventory from either platform
  • Keep product data synchronized

Export a Single Product

For individual products, use the quick export button.

Step 1: Open the Product

  1. Go to Products in WordPress
  2. Click on the product you want to export

Step 2: Export to Square

  1. Locate the Export to Square button above the Update/Publish section
  2. Click the button to transfer product data

Bulk Export Products

For multiple products, use the bulk export feature.

Step 1: Select Products

  1. Go to Products in WordPress
  2. Use filters to find the products you want to export
  3. Select products using checkboxes

Step 2: Apply Bulk Action

  1. From the Bulk Actions dropdown, select export option
  2. Click Apply

Step 3: Monitor Progress

The export runs in the background using WP Cron:

  • You can navigate away from the page
  • Process continues automatically
  • Check back later for results

Keeping Products Synced

After exporting, you can link products for ongoing synchronization.

When you export a product, it creates a connection between WooCommerce and Square. Linked products can sync all data points between platforms.

  1. Go to SquareSync for Woo > Products
  2. View linked status for each product
  3. Unlink products if needed

Troubleshooting

Export button not appearing

  • Ensure SquareSync is properly connected
  • Check user permissions
  • Verify license is active

Products not appearing in Square

  • Allow time for sync to complete
  • Check Square Dashboard for the product
  • Verify no errors in export log

Variations not exporting

  • Ensure variation data is complete in WooCommerce
  • Check that all variations have SKUs
  • Try exporting parent product first

Duplicate products in Square

  • Check if product was previously exported
  • Use link feature instead of re-exporting
  • Remove duplicates from Square Dashboard
